2. At the top of the next two pages after the title page, write the heading “Do Now pages”3. Label the two pages following the title pages with the heading “Do Now Pages”
4. After the two Do Now pages, copy the following notes:

Key Question: How many classes of waves are there, and how can you tell them apart?

Oscillation: a back and forth, or up and down wiggle.
Wave: an oscillation that travels from one place to another.
Mechanical wave:  Waves that can travel through empty space.
Electromagnetic Waves: waves that can travel through matter OR empty space.
There are two classes of wave.
  1. Transverse
  2. Longitudinal
